Review by Monique

LEAD – Jimmy, the lead singer, has oral skills enough to melt the panties off anyone! 5-HOT STARS!

Lead begins with James Dylan ‘Jimmy’ Ferris hitting rock bottom and the band telling him to get it together or get out, but as the lead vocalist, he had no options. The band is also his family and they are never going to let him walk away, so Jimmy goes to rehab for alcohol and drug abuse. After a few successful months, he is back with the band members of Stage Dive.  Mal is looking for a ‘sobriety companion’ to accompany Jimmy when he sets eyes on Lena, the temporary assistant to their record executive. Lena had reached her max with record executive when she was proceeding to tell him about his demands about an éclair when Mal took notice of her “tough cookie” attitude. Mal convinces Lena to accept the position as Jimmy new personal assistant/sobriety companion and to move to Portland where the band resides.

“I don’t know why the f*ck I put up with you.”
I shrugged. “No, me neither. But you keep paying me so I keep hanging around.”

Lena had stopped believing in love, because she always fell for the wrong men. Meeting Jimmy did not seem to be any different, because he may be a hot mad rocker but boy was he a lot of trouble. Lena was not going to let Jimmy get the best of her with all his bickering; she was going to go toe to toe with this hot mess.

“Why are you two always kicking each other?” Ben asked, interrupting the heated looks. “Just out of interest?” Jimmy shrugged. “Everyone has their hobbies, Ben.”

When Jimmy dished it out verbally, so did Lena. She was headstrong, determined, and a little sassy too.

“Verbally sparring with Jimmy was fast becoming more fun than I’d had with most other men naked.”

The banter between the two starts to ignite sparks chemistry between Jimmy and Lena, especially when Lena starts to see the real man who is Jimmy is - gentle, talented, fragile, and caring friend. Even though Jimmy tries to push Lena away, Lena pushes, her way through the walls, he has built around his heart determined to see his true self.

“Don’t hate me, Lena,” he whispered. “You want to be mad at me when I do dumb things, that’s fine. But don’t ever hate me. I couldn’t take that, not from you.”

As their relationships start to change and with Lena’s assignment soon to be ending, they risk it all and sleep together.

“He ate me like a man deprived, starved. He ate me like I was his favorite meal. Vaguely related, apparently singers had excellent tongue control and strength.”

Will Jimmy and Lena both be able have a relationship together? Will Lena find out all she needed was to have hers needs fulfilled by man could add another notch on his bedpost? Could Lena have finally broken down the walls Jimmy has built for so long to bring out the man he could be for both of them?

“Fancy falling for someone you didn’t even particularly like half the damn time. Who did something so stupid?”

Kylie Scott has converted me into a Stage Dive groupie with Lick and Play, while having me on holding on to my damn panties on the roller coaster ride of emotions from FRIENDSHIP, JEALOUSY, HEARTACHE, ANGER, DISCOVERY, LAUGHTER, and LOVE. Kylie Scott you most definitely ROCK the ROMANCE WORLD with YOUR BOYS and I can wait for more!

“Every part of me wanted him, I yearned for him on the cellular level. There could be no escaping emotions of this magnitude. His good and bad, dark and light, his nice parts and his nasty. Everything he was, I loved, and it left me feeling utterly helpless.”

“Lena, you seen my old black Led Zep shirt?”
“Nope.”
“You sure?” His brows became one dark cranky line. The scratches on his face were healing well, thank goodness. Though it didn’t reduce my desire to throttle his mother on a daily basis.
“Yes. I haven’t seen it.”
Can’t find it anywhere…”
“And this is a surprise, how?” I slipped my hands into my back jean’s pockets. “Jimmy, you own more clothing than Cher, Brittney, and Elvis, put together. Things are bound to go missing.”
“Sure you haven’t seen it?”
“For goodness sake, what do you think, Jimmy? That I stole it to sleep in or something?” I laughed bitterly. Sure as hell, the truth deserved a good mocking. I’d sunk so despicably low.
I hadn’t even meant to steal the stupid thing, but the shirt had been mixed up with my laundry a few days ago. It’d been the first top I laid my hand on after stepping out of the shower, ready to go to bed. Without thought, I’d put it on and it’d been so soft, the scent of him lingering beneath the laundry detergent. Every night since, I’d found myself in it come bedtime. My shame knew no limits. And no, I still hadn’t quit. The words still hadn’t come even close to leaving my mouth.
He frowned. “No.”
“That I have some deep secret longing to feel close to you resulting in my stealing your shirt like some creepy perv?”
“Course I don’t fucking think that,” he replied crankily, reaching up to grip the top of the doorframe. All of his bulging muscles stretched the arms of his white T-shirt in the nicest way. It was all I could do not to start drooling, my heart beat taking up residence somewhere down between my thighs. And who could blame it? Not me. Maybe if I got laid, this would go away and things would return to normal. It’d seemed safer to avoid rubbing up against any men just in case I got carried away and started dating again. This new situation, however, changed everything.
“Well, of course not! That would be crazy.” And wasn’t that the god’s honest truth? Cray-zeee. Lock me up and throw away the key because it wasn’t like I didn’t know better.
“Just can’t figure out where the hell it could be.”
Angels couldn’t have smiled as innocently. They might have tried, but they would have failed, the dirty-mouthed, winged, little liars. “Jimmy, I don’t know where it is. But I’ll look around for it later, okay?”
“Yeah,” he said, and then added as an afterthought, “and stop looking at me weird.”
“I’m not!”
